The coziest evening cruise of the year

Outside it is dark and cold, on board soft light shines, the heating is on, and we have hot chocolate and mulled wine. Our ships are fully covered and heated in the winter so that you can enjoy a delightful winter cruise — with your own company and onboard service. Through the windows, you see Amsterdam in a glow that lasts six weeks a year: light artworks on the water, illuminated facades, Christmas lights on the bridges.

This is the Amsterdam winter at its finest.

Light artworks on the water

The Amsterdam Light Festival transforms the city into an open-air exhibition. Light artworks by international artists are displayed on and along the canals and the IJ — sculptures, projections, and installations that are best appreciated from the water. We sail through them every evening, with skippers who know the route and the stories behind the artworks.

We are an official partner of the festival.

Catering: from charcuterie boards to dinner

On all three of our ships, in addition to our regular drink options, we also serve homemade mulled wine and hot chocolate with whipped cream. Furthermore, the dining options range from charcuterie boards and snacks on the sloops, a running dinner on the Prince of New, to a walking or seated dinner with a chef on the Halve Maen.

Availability and scheduling

Thursdays and Fridays in December are the busiest days of the year. We recommend contacting us well in advance — especially if you wish to sail on a specific evening. Which boats are available

• Prince of New Amsterdam — for an intimate evening cruise with a small group, with heated cushions on board
• Vastberaden — for a cozy sloop cruise, covered and heated
• Halve Maen — our saloon boat, with mood lighting on board that suits the evening
