A cruise in peace and quiet

For families and funeral directors we provide memorial cruises. The water offers space for a moment of reflection, for a final round past places that had meaning to the deceased, or for the gathering after the ceremony.

The programme as you wish

We compose the programme together — with you as the family or in coordination with the funeral director. That can be a cruise during which we accompany your loved one to the cemetery, a cruise during which the boat moors for a condolence or reception on board, or a combination of both. We align catering and drinks with the wishes of the family.

Boarding and disembarking throughout Amsterdam

We pick you up at virtually any official boarding pier in Amsterdam — close to the funeral venue, a crematorium, a cemetery or a place that had meaning to the deceased. An overview can be found on our Boarding locations page.

For funeral directors

We are happy to work with funeral directors and funeral planners. With our experience in this type of cruise, we are pleased to advise on the programme, the logistics between ceremony and cruise, and the approach that fits the family and the deceased. Which boats are available

• Vastberaden (max 20 people for a funeral) — a riveted aluminium sloop with seating all around, so everyone can see and speak to each other
• Halve Maen (max 50 people for a funeral) — our salon boat, with room for a seated coffee table or memorial meal on board
